Down the Pic Saint-Loup 20 km North of Montpellier in Hérault, La Cazarelle is in the charming medieval village of Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles, picturesque with its narrow streets, its church and its point of view, ideally located in a natural environment between the Cevennes and the Mediterranean sea, inviting to very nice walks and excursions in the surroundings.
Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles is bordering Cazevieille, starting point to climb the top of Pic Saint-Loup, famous marker of the Montpellier landscape culminating at 658 meters above sea level.
The Grand Pic Saint-Loup, labeled "Committed Territory for Nature" brings together 36 municipalities united by the desire to preserve an exceptional natural territory, mosaic of landscapes dotted with high quality vineyards, where you can find hills, scrubland, valleys and gorges dug by numerous rivers including Hérault and Buèges.
You can park your vehicle (even bulky) or your motorcycle inside the grounds of the property, fenced and closed by a motorized gate. An external plug allows charging electric vehicles.
On request, bicycles can be placed every night in a locked room with electrical outlets.
For security reasons, La Cazarelle is not suitable for children under 12 years of age (presence of unsecured walls and unevenness, fish pond, swimming pool without a closed fence prohibiting access to the youngest).
The house is not equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility.
However do not hesitate to discuss with us on the phone the nature of the handicap and the degree of autonomy before any reservation in order to consider a reception in the best conditions.
SFR and Bouygues Télécom network coverages are good both for phone calls and in 4G. However, the coverage of the Orange network has so far been very poor, but it seems that it has been improving recently.
The house is connected with ADSL2+ and the rooms and the garden have a free of charge Wifi network.
Breakfast is offered with the guest rooms. For your other meals we suggest a selection of restaurants. On Sunday and Monday, be careful because only a few restaurants are open.
A supermaket is available at 5 km.
The region offers beautiful circuits especially for bike lovers. We will be happy to make you discover all you need to know about walks and hikes, either walking or cycling.
To make you enjoy your stay, we will gladly share our favorite addresses.
