It is no coincidence that we came to settle in Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles. This village of 500 inhabitants is full of charm and it is very good to live in, in particular thanks to numerous events and festivals organized throughout the year: the Flower Festival on May 1, the Village Festival in late June, the Trial de la Calade, Santons feast and Living Nativity scene in early December...
The vineyard of Pic Saint-Loup
Many of our visitors come for the renowned Pic Saint-Loup wine. Indeed the terroir of Pic Saint-Loup is remarkable for its geographical location and its exposure. This vineyard has obtained a Protected Designation of Origin (AOC) in January 2017. The Pic Saint-Loup appellation is produced by 72 estates in 17 communes. Walks and hikes
An easy walking circuit starting from La Cazarelle is the Bois de Lèque, which connects the center of Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles to the medieval village of Les Matelles.
Climb to the ruins of the castle Viviourès located on the ledge of the mountain of Hortus at 300 meters above sea level, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Pic Saint-Loup and Castle Montferrand, which will be the opportunity to do another sporty walk.
The Pic Saint-Loup cycling tour is also a beautiful route from La Cazarelle.
